TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – February 20, 2013 – Command and Control Technologies has delivered a telemetry processing system that handles data at one of the highest rates in the industry. Delivered to Lincoln Labs at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in support of a Department of Defense project, the system can process up to 20 megabits, or 20 million bits of data, every second.
“A twenty megabit processing capability is faster than anything we’ve ever seen in the civil aerospace industry,” said Rodney Davis, CCT Vice President of Technical Operations. “The lab had searched for a solution for some time before turning to us.”
CCT engineers optimized the hardware-software interface, known as device drivers, of existing products to achieve this throughput rate. Restructured algorithms and direct memory access technology were at the core of the optimization. The higher processing rate will be available to future customers of the CCT telemetry product line.
