TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – September 12, 2013 – The U.S. Missile Defense Agency has announced successful completion of a complex missile defense flight test resulting in the intercept of two ballistic missile targets. Command and Control Technologies provided the technology for controlling launches of targets used on the test. Lockheed Martin, prime contractor for the systems, integrated CCT’s Command and Control Toolkit™ commercial software and C2TM Gateway™ telemetry interface to provide real-time data acquisition and customized launch control sequences for the targets.

During the test, advanced radar detected the targets and relayed the track information to the weapons systems for real-time analysis and response. The test stressed the systems to defeat a raid of two near-simultaneous ballistic missile targets. This test was the first time video has been captured and transmitted from this type of vehicle during flight. The C2TM processed live video data and prepared it for distribution to U.S. facilities and partner sites around the globe.
